Love Leads to Passion

Sometimes when we take people through The Passion Test, they tell us, "But I don't know what I'm passionate about. I don't know what to write to get started with my Test."

If you are one of these, then don't worry about writing down your passions. Focus on the things you love and care about, in every area of your life:

  • Relationships - who do you love to spend time with?
  • Work - what do you love to get paid for doing?
  • Fun - what do you love to do for no reason at all except it's fun?
  • Health - how do you love to feel?
  • Spiritual - what do you love to do to connect with the deepest values in life?
  • Environment - what sort of things do you love to be surrounded by? Where would you love to visit?
  • Education - what would you love to learn?

Now, there are some people who still are stuck. Here's the next clue: Imagine you have all the money in the world? What would you do with your life then?

Lastly, if you are still having trouble, then think about the things you NEVER want to experience in your life. Sometimes it's easier to think about what we don't want then what we want. Once you have written down what you DON'T want, then turn it around to the positive and then put it on your passions list.

For example, if you never want to be around people who lie, cheat or steal, then write down, "When my life is ideal, I am surrounded by people who are honest, generous and live with the highest integrity."

Today's Tip for Following Your Passions: Your job is to get clear on the "what" you choose to create, not the "how." You will consistently trip yourself up if you think you need to know the how before you write down your passions. Forget the "how" of it for now. Clarify what it is you choose to create, then follow the prescription from The Passion Test for creating anything in your life:  Intention - Attention - No Tension.
