It's not an accident you love the things you love. It's not an accident you care about the things you care about.
Love brings joy. Following the path of love leads you on to joy. Your passions are the things you love and care about most. That's why we say they are like breadcrumbs leading you on to fulfill your destiny.
Your destiny is to live life in joy. The things you love and care about most are unique to you. They will lead you along a path that only you can travel.
When you deny the things you love, the things you truly care about, then you suffer. Because you are going off track, off the path. The more you insist on "your way", the more pain you will experience.
But when you give priority to the things that matter most to you, then miracles begin to happen.
The Passion Test is just a simple tool to help you get clear about what REALLY matters to you. Once you've done that, then your top five passions provide the instrument to guide you in any decision you have to make.
Will this decision help me live my passions more fully, or will it take me farther away from them? Decision-making suddenly becomes easy . . . if still a bit scary at times.
Today's Tip for Following Your Passions: Give yourself permission to love. In every area of your life. Can you make the choices that will allow you to love your work? Can you find your way to loving where you live? How about who you're living with? Can you even learn to love the gifts that come to you in the form of hardship, or sickness, or unhappiness? Choose to love, all things. This is what life is for, and this is what gives fulfillment to life. |
