Hey Mom and Dad....
Remember that old saying, “You always teach what you need to learn?"
It’s true, isn’t it?!!
What would your life have been like if you knew the things you know today about creating a fulfilled life when you were just a kid?
It might’ve been a lot different, wouldn’t you agree?
Recently I met a 9 year old named Morgan at an event where I was speaking in San Francisco. After my presentation I asked her if she liked taking The Passion Test.
She got this big smile on her face and said one word....
“Yup!”
I asked her, “What are your passions?"
Morgan immediately rattled off her top 3!
“Being healthy is #1” she said, “living in the light” is #2 and “spending lots of time in love with my friends and family” is #3.
Totally excited by her amazing clarity, I asked her, “Hey Morgan, did you have fun taking the Test?”
“Yup” was her reply again.
“Could you do what I was doing on stage? Could you give The Passion Test to other kids like yourself so they would be able to attract into their lives what they care most about?”
“Uh huh” she said.
“Would it be fun?” I asked, getting more excited by the moment.
“Yeah!!!!” she said as she got a big smile on her face.
And with that Mom and Dad, “The Passion Test for Teens . . . and Kids" was born!

A Note to Parents, Youth Leaders and Educators:
Why is helping kids identify their passions important?
Most people never take the time to figure out what it is they enjoy and the skills at which they excel. Kids in particular often worry about being accepted for who they are and as they go through school, they are faced with many opportunities and decisions to make.
In 2005, a Harris Interactive study was conducted which showed that only 20% of American workers are passionate about what they do. That means 80% are unhappy, unsatisfied and unfulfilled! Imagine what it would mean to our society if these statistics were reversed. As kids grow older they have many choices to make that will affect their futures, and that’s why we developed this program - to turn those Passion statistics upside down and assist kids in following their path to a fulfilling life!!
When students are passionate about what they’re doing, they improve their lives, become centered, their academic achievement soars to new levels and the ‘fire within’ begins to burn. When students learn how to make life exciting and purposeful, they begin to truly appreciate who they already are and start to envision themselves creating their own best life.

Constantly striving to reach a balance between her two passions, health and children, Denise is a Licensed Practical Nurse and has a background in holistic health care and education. She founded an Early Childhood Education Preschool and has managed the YMCA’s summer camp and before and after school programs.
Denise has been a Passion Test Facilitator as well as for many years, sits on the Advisory Board for The Passion Test, and is the coordinator for Janet’s advanced teacher program. In 2009 Denise volunteered to assist Janet to design and implement The Passion Test for Kids and Teens.
Today, Denise is the Director and Master Trainer for the Passion Test for Kids and Teens program. In her spare time she teaches an adult evening class at the local Community School. Denise has also founded Attuned Hearts Ministries, a not-for-profit organization that is dedicated to empowering humanity. Denise is a wife and mother to a blended family of 5 adult children and 8 grandchildren.
