Why is helping kids identify their passions important?
Most people never take the time to figure out what it is they enjoy and the skills at which they excel. Kids often worry about being accepted for who they are and as they go through school they are faced with many opportunities and decisions to make.
In 2005, a Harris Interactive study was conducted which showing that only 20% of American workers are passionate about what they do. That means 80% are unhappy, unsatisfied and unfulfilled! Imagine what it would mean to our society if these statistics were reversed.
When students are passionate about what they’re doing, they become centered, their academic achievement soars to new levels and the ‘fire within’ begins to burn. As they learn how to make life exciting and purposeful, they begin to truly appreciate who they already are, and start to envision themselves creating their own best life.
As kids grow older they have many choices to make that will affect to their futures and that’s why we developed this program - to turn those Passion statistics upside down and assist kids in following their path to a fulfilling life!!
