The Business Case for Passionate Business™
Some of what we will focus on during our time together in this course is the critical business case for passion. For example, in November, 2008 – January, 2009 (in the midst of this recessionary time) a worldwide study of 100,000 people was conducted in 34 countries focusing on the meaning of work[1].
51% of the workers worldwide said they would sacrifice status and pay to have more meaningful work! Gallup concluded in their May, 2009 engagement study that 71% of employees are partially or fully disengaged! Imagine the difference that could be made in an organization’s bottom line if more people were passionate about their jobs.
- Innovation, fueled by passion, is critically important for all companies.
- Eventually baby boomers will leave the workforce. Since there simply aren’t enough people to take their place, providing meaningful work to retain an organization’s best talent is critical.
- Generation Y is demanding they are passionate about the work they do – it has to be meaningful for them to fully invest their energy in an organization.
- For successful talent management and succession planning, including meaning and passion in the formula for long term success is the basis for identifying and culturing tomorrow’s leaders.
How can you monetize this?
- You can immediately go and deliver The Passion Test for Business to organizations with 100 people or less and keep all of the revenue. Our facilitators are typically charging $1,000 for solopreneurs and $5,000 for small companies to go through the PTB program. You keep 100% of the revenue you generate.
- If you have worked in or with Fortune 500 companies, you will become part of a national team of facilitators qualified to work in corporate enterprises as opportunities become available and facilitators are matched to corporate needs[2]. Delivery of the program (30% of the fee) = $7,500 on $25,000 program
- Additional sales commissions, referrals fees and finders' fees are also available to you when your actions result in a contract with organizations with more than 100 employees
